Wood Badge registration is open

Wood Badge registration is now open for the spring 2012 course. Wood Badge for the 21st Century is the advanced leadership training program for all BSA leaders at the unit, district, and council levels. The course is designed to train all scouting adults to use the latest leadership skills in your scouting adventure. Techniques and skills are also applicable in your workplace. The course is held at Camp Lumpkin (FGL) over two weekends. Course dates are March 2-4 and April 13-15. Participation is limited to the first 48 paid participants. Further information and the registration form are available through this link.

Wood Badge Reunion is Jan. 7

You are cordially invited to attend the 23rd Annual Chattahoochee Council Wood Badge Reunion. Please join us for an evening of food, fun, and camaraderie to be held at the Callaway Dining Hall, Camp Lumpkin Chattahoochee Council Scout Reservation, on January 7, 2012. Gathering is at 6:00 PM, and dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. This event is open to all Scouters and their families, and is not limited to recipients of the Wood Badge Training Award. Cost of the Reunion is $20.00 per person.

Reservations are required, and are due at the Council Service Center by close of business, Wednesday, January 4, 2011.

We are planning an exciting evening that will include fellowship, tale-sharing, and an excellent dinner prepared by the SR-1078 Quartermaster staff. There will be a guest speaker, a few presentations of Wood Badge Bead Awards, and a presentation ceremony for the Gilwell Award.

We hope to see all new and old Scouters at the 23rd annual event.

Yours in Scouting,
