Note On Leader Training

What defines a leader as "Trained?" According to the Leadership Training Committee Guide, which is available in the Council Trading Post, a Cub Scout leader is eligible to wear the trained leader emblem once they have completed Fast Start and Basic Leader Training for their position. A Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster is considered to be trained after completing New Leader Essentials, Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills. A Troop Committee Member is considered training after completing the New Leader Essentials and Troop Committee Challenge, while an adult Venturing leader must complete Fast Start, New Leader Essentials and Venturing Leader Specific Training.
