Note On Leader Training

What defines a leader as "Trained?" According to the Leadership Training Committee Guide, which is available in the Council Trading Post, a Cub Scout leader is eligible to wear the trained leader emblem once they have completed Fast Start and Basic Leader Training for their position. A Scoutmaster or Assistant Scoutmaster is considered to be trained after completing New Leader Essentials, Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills. A Troop Committee Member is considered trained after completing the New Leader Essentials and Venturing Leader Specific Training.
