Note On Order of the Arrow

The Order of the Arrow is a National Brotherhood of cheerful service whose main purpose is to promote Scout camping. The OA is responsible for camp promotion and also serves as a support and service group for other council and district activities. The Chattahoochee Lodge serves our Council by spending thousands of hours improving our camps and raising money to fund camp improvement projects. Many Arrowmen serve on camp staff and participate in OA ceremonies year-round. The OA inducts members during Ordeal. Each unit may hold one election a year and then send candidates up for membership. Scoutmasters will be contacted by their OA Chapter at the appropriate time of the year to schedule elections.
